MEET EDDIE MORALES
A Proven Leader for the Border and Beyond
Heriberto “Eddie” Morales Jr. is a pragmatic Democrat dedicated to fighting for the people of South and West Texas. A lifelong resident of Eagle Pass, Eddie combines decades of experience as an attorney, small business owner, and public servant to deliver real results for his community.
Eddie was raised in the tight-knit border town of Eagle Pass, where he learned the values of faith, family, and hard work. He earned a degree in Political Science from the University of Texas at Austin and a Juris Doctor from St. Mary’s University School of Law. He returned to Eagle Pass to practice law, build a business, and raise a family.
Elected to the Texas House in 2020, Eddie represents District 74 — a diverse district that spans 11 counties and 770 miles along the Texas-Mexico border. In his first term, he passed over 30 bills on border security, infrastructure, healthcare, public education, and job creation. Known for his commonsense, bipartisan approach, Eddie has earned a reputation as one of Texas’ most effective legislators and a trusted voice for rural and border communities.

In addition to his legislative work, Eddie is a partner at Langley & Banack, Inc., where he leads the Eagle Pass office. He also owns the Piedras Negras Tortilla Factory, a local staple for over 30 years.
Eddie’s dedication extends beyond his professional work. He has served on various civic and legal boards and volunteered pro bono legal counsel to the Eagle Pass Library Foundation. Above all, Eddie is proud of his family: his wife Hellen, daughter Kassandra, a master's student in clinical counseling, daughter Alexandra, a special education teacher, and his son Eddie, a law student at St. Mary's.
Eddie remains focused on delivering real results for District 74 by improving roads, expanding healthcare, supporting public schools, and protecting Texas’ natural resources
